Director of Growth and Partnerships

David Robinson is an education leader with experience as a headteacher and a focus on creating supportive learning environments for neurodiverse young people. As Director of Growth and Partnerships at The O Education Group, he contributes to the development of the Group’s schools, partnerships and new approaches to education.

David’s work is informed by an interest in trauma-informed, student-centred and therapeutic approaches. He is particularly focused on how education can support learners facing barriers such as emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), and help them reconnect with learning.

His school leadership experience includes setting a shared vision, developing staff, curriculum innovation and leading whole-school change. He is also interested in how technology and new models of education can make learning more engaging and responsive to young people’s needs.

David studied Secondary Education and Teaching at London South Bank University. His professional development includes the Early Leadership and Widening Leadership programmes at UCL Institute of Education. His background also includes undergraduate study in marketing.

David believes every young person deserves a learning environment where they feel seen, valued and supported to make progress.
